What Will I be Doing?

You will be:

  • warmly welcoming those attending 

  • responsible for the safety and wellbeing of those attending and seek to answer any questions they may have 

  • assist with ushering, offering and communion distribution.

  • spending much of your time standing & walking both inside and out in all weathers – bringing appropriate clothing and footwear is essential

  • directing people and or car traffic 

  • clearing litter & emptying bins 

  • taking responsible action during emergency evacuations 

  • possibly supporting with other teams as needs arise

  • assisting with whatever is needed behind the scenes

 

What Skills and Experience do I Need?

  •  You will need to: 

  •  have lots of enthusiasm for teamwork 

  • enjoy talking to people and assisting people with a variety of needs 

  • have lots of energy, patience, and flexibility!

  • have a good helpful mindset

  • have the physical ability for regularly being on your feet, lifting and shifting

  • have the ability to work under a team leader – following clear direction 

  • be ready to support other teams if/when a need comes up

 

When and Where Will I be Working?

  •  The day is split into three sessions – morning, afternoon and evening – and you will be allocated two sessions each day, on a rota basis. Morning sessions start at 8.45am, and evening sessions finish around 9pm 

  • Our Welcome Team covers the main auditorium, the children and youth venues, as any of the venues around the town.

  • You will be expected to arrive in time for a briefing meeting at the start of each day at 8:30am
