Summer Convention Speakers

Adam Ch’ng

A pastor and church planter for thirty years, Stephen now writes and speaks on issues of theology, culture and church, in particular the increasing pressures on religious belief in the secular public square. He is married to Jill, who runs a clinical psychology practice in Perth, and they have two children. Steve enjoys running. He loves nothing better than hanging out having coffee with his wife in some urban place. He recently published ‘Being the Bad Guys’ and another book is hot off the press, ‘Futureproof’. Stephen will be running our afternoon seminars.

Chris Chia

It is a delight to have Chris and his wife Mona back with us. Chris came to know Jesus at a Billy Graham Crusade in 1979 while studying in Sydney, Australia. He was then a journalist but is now glad to be preaching Good News! He is Senior Pastor at Adams Road Presbyterian Church in Singapore. His passion is to be ‘a pastor to pastors’, ‘raising the Next Generation’, ‘training leaders’ and ‘Godly marriages & families’. Chris will be speaking to us from the book of Ecclesiastes.

Adam leads the pastoral team at ‘Cross and Crown’ (Melbourne) and is primarily responsible for preaching and vision. He studied his BA/LLB(Hons) at Monash University before working as a workplace relations lawyer and then as an adviser to the Minister for Employment in the Abbott Government. After completing his MDiv/GradDipDiv at Ridley College, he planted ‘Cross and Crown’. Adam will be speaking on ‘Purpose – The Bible Story’.
