VCYC 2010 ‘The Battle’

12th – 14th March 2010

To all you highschoolers out there!

Welcome to the VCYC 2010 Website. Inside you’ll be able to check out all the info for VCYC in March including registration details, the program, how to get there and details about bands and speakers. For those who are thinking about coming along for the first time we are really looking forward to meeting you and having a great weekend together. If you’ve been along before then get ready for an even bigger and better convention. We’ll have local speakers sharing God’s Word with us, the VCYC worship band leading us in praises to God, Levi McGrath, a massive ‘Battle’ game on Saturday afternoon and heaps more. Invite your friends from school so that they can come and be part of it. Looking forward to seeing you down there!

To youth pastors, minister and leaders:

VCYC: ‘Equipping young people with God’s word to impact their world’.

The Victorian Christian Youth Convention is on about young people coming to know Jesus Christ as their loving Lord and Saviour and being equipped to love and serve him in their daily lives. Over the past ten years VCYC has provided a weekend of fun and worship and has shared the good news about Jesus with many young people from across Victoria. The convention is run by a bunch of volunteers who are dedicated to partnering with local youth ministries. The convention isn’t targeted at any specific church denomination but is open to any high-school aged youth (year 7-12). Throughout the weekend the youth have the opportunity to worship our Lord Jesus Christ together through song, the preaching and teaching of His Word, prayer and fellowship. Our hope and prayer is that many young people will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ for the first time and that many young people will grow in their faith. Check out the rest of the website for all the information you’ll need to bring your youth along for the weekend. To help with catering we ask that you register by the 5th of March if you want to be part of the community meal times. Please also note that any youth leaders over 18 need to have Working With Children Check so that VCYC can continue to be a safe place for all who attend. See you on the weekend.
