Speakers
Karl Faase is the Senior Pastor at Gymea Baptist Church in Sydney and is one of the most experienced Christian radio and television presenters in Australia. Karl's television shows are regularly featured on Christian cable stations in several nations. Karl is on the boards of Samaritans Purse, BGEA Australia, Christian Television Australia and Sydney Prayer Breakfast. Karl was the co-founder of the Media Project, Jesus, All about life, a high profile media campaign. Karl regularly speaks across Australia.
Mike Raiter is the Director of the Centre for Biblical Preaching, a partnership between St James Old Cathedral, West Melbourne, and the Church Missionary Society. Previously he was the Head of the Dept of Mission at Moore College and Principal of the Melbourne School of Theology. Mike spent 11 years working in Pakistan, largely in theological education. He is the author of the 2004 Australian Christian Book of the Year, 'Stirrings of the Soul'.
Ian Harper is one of Australia's best-known economists. He has worked closely with governments, banks, corporate and leading professional services firms at the the highest level. A member of the Wallis enquiry, he has been at the forefront of market reform. Ian has been described as one of those relatively rare academics who can communicate extremely well with both the business and academic communities". He has been elected a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences ant the Institute of Company Directors.
